Bones

Updated: May 12, 2020

They hovered over the keyboard together, contemplating the image of the lovely woman on the screen. The artist waited nervously for his boss’ assessment.

“It’s good, really! I like it. But...” She tapped her finger over the model’s thigh, “This part, here. Can you make it thinner?” The artist ran the mouse over the long thin leg in the picture to edit it further. The model was already thin and beautiful, but if they wanted her thinner then that’s what they would get.

“Mmm, just a little more,” she hung over his shoulder and watched with a smile as he adjusted it further, “There she is! Perfect! Do it like that with the rest of the photo and it’ll be just how we like it!” She left him to his work then with words of praise as he turned the waif-like woman into a skeletal parody of herself. The end result would be printed and posted everywhere for their customers to see, no doubt selling the thin shirts the model wore in record time. After all, bones are beautiful.
