Sweet Oblivion

Floating in nothing, warm and relaxed. The morning is still and quiet as I lay in my cocoon of soft cloth. A sigh escapes my lips as I relish this moment of calm, though I know it won’t last. The sun has barely started to rise when my state of oblivion is shattered by sticky fingers and a soft giggle. “Mama,” this little one calls, and I rise and abandon my warm bed for a busy day with this little miracle I created.
